Friday August 9, 2024: Today on Bold and the Beautiful, Bill tells Liam something is off with Poppy, Sheila tells Katie she saw the backpack, and Poppy tries convincing her daughter she’s innocent.
Katie believed she knows who killed Tom and Hollis, while Liam learned will walked in on Poppy and Bill.
In the backroom at Il Giardino, Sheila gives Deacon a massage and then he tells her that Katie has been asking questions about the new lady in Bill’s life.
They aren’t the only ones wondering what really happened there.
Sheila thinks the answers they are looking for could have been in the backpack. She had Hollis throw it in the dumpster, along with any clues that could explain this.
At Il Giardino, RJ explains again to Katie that Luna found Tom’s backpack at the apartment containing letter suggesting he’s her father.
Katie wonders if Poppy could really be capable of murder. He tells her that Poppy met with Tom the night that he died and told her daughter she was going to take matters into her own hands.
RJ thinks they need to be careful and look for some facts. The more she hears, the more sure she is that this wasn’t just an accident.
Alexis hands him his pizza pie. He urges Katie to be careful and takes off.
Sheila and Deacon come out.
Sheila heard she was asking questions and explains that Hollis wanted her to see Tom’s backpack before he died.
They tell her that Tom had a history of addiction but was clean and Hollis never took drugs.
Katie is sorry that Deacon lost his friends. She knew Hollis a bit and heard Tom had an interesting life.
Sheila explains the backpack is likely in a landfill now so they will likely never know what was in it.
After they get back to work, she calls Chief Baker and asks to meet. She thinks she might have some evidence.
In the backroom, Sheila brings Deacon some chicken and potato stew to try to cure his worried mind.
When he takes a bite, he nearly chokes. She used cayenne instead of paprika.
“I know daddy likes it hot,” she says.
Once he’s gulped some milk and stops choking, he returns to missing Tom and Hollis.
She reminds him there is an investigation ongoing and justice will be served.
They wonder why Katie is so interested in Bill’s new girlfriend.

Poppy returns to the apartment, where Luna still wants to know how Tom’s backpack got there.
Her mom needs her to know she’s not a killer. She insists she had nothing to do with the backpack showing up.
Luna is sure that whoever brought the backpack is behind all of this.
Her mom repeats that she would never hurt anyone and asks if she believes her.
Luna does.
Her mom is relieved and hugs her, thanking her.
Poppy says this place is their past and being knocked down. The Spencer family is their future.
At Bill’s, Liam notices his dad is distracted from the latest deal. Bill admits he’s concerned about Poppy.
His son wonders why. Bill just senses something is troubling her.
All they talk about is how happy they are. But…
Liam is sure it has nothing to do with him. His father just wishes she would confide in him.
He’s loving every minute of his new life.
His son can tell and adds that having a daughter has softened him.
Bill says that Luna and Poppy have enriched his life.
He’s sure his three sons will come around to feeling the same.
Poppy can do no wrong as far as he’s concerned.
Liam is glad that Poppy and Luna get the chill version of Bill. They all want what’s best for him.
“The best is yet to come!” declared Bill.
Once Liam is gone, Katie bursts in and says that Bill’s life could be in danger.
She found out something disturbing about Poppy and his life could be in jeopardy.
Bill is skeptical but she tells him about Poppy and Tom, the mints, the letters, and Poppy meeting with Tom the night of his demise.
He finds her concerns strange. Katie thinks that Poppy is cashing in on the Spencer empire.
Poppy and Hollis both are dead and Poppy is dangerous.
Poppy arrives as Katie declares that she thinks Poppy is a murderer.
